Event#
Introduction#
The red Event cards start or stop a 123 project.
Below is a list of available cards:
when start 123 – Starts the project when the Start button on the Coder is pressed.
go to start – Loops back to the when start 123 card to repeat the project until it is stopped.
stop – Stops and ends the project.
when start 123#
The when start 123 card starts the project when the Start button on the Coder is pressed. A project must always begin with the when start 123 card in the top slot of the Coder, marked with a white arrow.
Example
Press the Start button on the Coder to drive forward 1 step.
go to start#
The go to start card makes the Coder loop back to the when start 123 card and run the project again. Together, the two cards make a forever loop: use go to start to repeat a set of actions until the project is stopped. Press the Stop button on the Coder to stop the project.
Example
Drive forward 1 step and turn right, over and over, until the Stop button is pressed.
stop#
The stop card stops and ends the project. Any cards following the stop card will not run.
Example
If an object is in front of the robot, end the project. If not, drive forward 2 steps.
