Sensing#

The Sensing pages collect the Python classes and methods used to read data from the EXP Brain and connected sensors. Start here when you want your robot to react to button presses, measure distance, detect color, or track rotation while a project is running.

  • Brain - Interact with the Brain’s buttons and battery.

  • Distance Sensor - Measure the distance between the sensor and nearby objects.

  • Optical Sensor - Detect color, brightness, and proximity to an object.

  • Rotation Sensor - Track rotational position, direction, and speed.
