Field Details#

The V5RC Virtual Skills - High Stakes Playground occupies an area measuring 3.65 meters (about 12 feet) long and 3.65 meters (about 12 feet) wide.

A top-down view of a robotics competition field, divided into a grid of square tiles. The field features various elements, including red and blue circular objects scattered across the grid. Additionally, there are hexagonal objects outlined in yellow and positioned in specific areas. A central structure, outlined in yellow, forms a diamond shape with crossing white lines through it.

The field is 6 full tiles long and 6 full tiles wide.

The image shows a red, donut-shaped ring with a smooth texture and the VEX logo engraved on its surface. This ring is a game piece used in VEX Robotics competitions, where it is typically manipulated by robots to score points by placing it on specific goals or areas of the competition field.
Red Ring

A hollow red torus-shaped plastic object with an outer diameter of 7” (177.8 mm), an inner “hole” diameter of 3” (76.2 mm), and a thickness (or “tube diameter”) of 2” (50.8 mm).

Field Starting Configurations#

The V5RC Virtual Skills - High Stakes Playground has access to a Pre-Match checklist to customize your robot’s starting conditions before running your code.
