Motion

The Motion pages cover the classes that make a VEX IQ (2nd gen) robot move - the motor and motor_group classes for IQ Smart Motors, and the pneumatics class for pneumatic cylinders.

• Motor and Motor Group - Spin a motor or motor group continuously, for a set distance or time, or to a specific position. Adjust velocity, stopping behavior, torque, and timeout, and read back values such as position, velocity, current, power, and temperature. A motor controls one IQ Smart Motor; a motor_group controls multiple motors in tandem.

• Pneumatics - Extend or retract pneumatic cylinders using the VEX IQ Pneumatic Solenoid, and turn the air pump on or off.
