Connecting with a Wired Connection (Mac)

This tutorial walks you through connecting your VEX AIM Coding Robot to a Mac with a USB-C cable in VEXcode AIM. By the end, you’ll have your robot connected and ready to download projects to.

  1. Connect your robot to your computer with a USB-C cable. The robot will turn on by itself.

  1. Select the Connect button at the top-right of VEXcode.

  1. Select Connect next to USB under Wired Connection.

  1. Your browser will ask which serial port to connect to. Select the lower-numbered Vex Robotics AIM entry.

  1. Select Connect.

  1. Once connected, USB will show as Connected, and the Robot section will appear, showing its Device Name and battery level. The robot icon in the toolbar will also turn green, and the Connect button will now read Connected.
