Using Flight School

This tutorial walks you through using Flight School in the VEX AIR Flight Simulator. By the end, you’ll know how to start a mission, track your progress, earn and save a badge, and return to practice.

Flight School adds missions from the Virtual Flight Course to the simulator, with real-time feedback and badges you can share. Make sure your controller is connected to VEXcode AIR and the Simulator tab is open. See Using the VEX AIR Flight Simulator if you haven’t opened the simulator yet.

  1. When you complete a mission, you earn a badge. The badge shows the date, time, score, and distance flown. The mission results decide which badge you earn:

  • Completed (orange) — Mission objectives were accomplished.

  • Silver — Mission objectives were completed with fewer collisions or in less time.

  • Gold — Optimal mission completion.
